work placements

Dear students,

The following new regulations apply to all work placements commencing on or after 1 August 2026:

  • In future, the total of five grace days may also be used in the event of planned company closures.
  • A maximum of five grace days may still be counted towards the placement. From the sixth day of absence onwards, all further days must be made up (i.e. including the five grace days).
  • There are no exceptions to this rule. This regulation is based on a clarification issued by the Examination Board of OTH Regensburg and applies even if previous documentation contains differing information.
  • Please note that there is no entitlement to holiday leave during a standard compulsory work placement, and the placement may only be interrupted by a holiday (or holiday days) in justified exceptional cases.
  • Public holidays are always counted towards the placement period, even if you were not present at the company during that week.
  • The use of AI tools when preparing placement documentation must be explicitly stated in future. Please specify which tools you used and for what purpose.
Please observe these guidelines when planning and documenting your placement.
